How Do We Work?

India Travel Plan specialises in pre-booked, independent travel. You can build your own itinerary using a combination of our short India tours (modules). We’ve travelled far and wide in India and created our modules using some of our most memorable experiences. You can pick and choose the mini-adventures that appeal to you most, from lake palaces in Rajasthan, to toy trains into the Himalayas, to sun kissed Keralan beaches. We've chosen as many small-scale hotels and family guesthouses as possible, in order to give you an authentic India experience. We'll also string the modules together by arranging your local transport in India.

If you've never travelled to India before, or need some help getting started, then take a look at our holidays to India. Here, we’ve combined a number of our modules in a logical order to create longer and more complete India holidays. However, modifications are still possible to these itineraries, for example a day less here, a day longer there etc. Once again, you're in charge.

Step 1: Choose your Trip

There are 4 easy steps to travelling in India with India Travel Plan:

Take a look through our short India tours (modules) or our suggested India itineraries on this website. Decide which ones you like and select them using the drop-down menus on our quote request form.

If you prefer, you can also contact us by email at info@indiatravelplan.co.uk or call us on 01273 322044. We often find it's really helpful to have a chat about your plans over the phone. We'll be happy to answer any queries you may have about your trip.

Step 2: Your Personalised Quote

Once we've received your enquiry, we'll put together a personalised quote just for you, using the modules or itinerary you selected. We’ll link your modules together using our local knowledge. In India, modules are normally linked together by private car with driver or internal flights. For some routes we can also arrange travel by train.

Your personalised itinerary will contain further details on the module or itinerary you selected as well as a quote for international flights. Of course, we'll also include any personal reccommendations we think would help you get the most out of your time in India.

If you decide that you'd like to tweak your itinerary, just let your travel specialist know and we'll make the necessary changes so that your itnerary is just right.

Step 3: Book your Trip

When you're ready to book your trip, just complete our online booking form with all your details. You can then give us a call on 01273 322044 so we can collect your deposit for the land arrangements and full payment for any international flights if you're booking them through us.

Our deposit system for your land arrangements is based on your departure date and works as follows:

Departure in 3 calendar months or more: 20% deposit
Departure within 1 to 3 calendar months: 50% deposit
Departure in less than 1 calendar month: 75% deposit

Once we've received everything we need, we'll send your booking off to our local office to get confirmed, leaving you time to sit back and relax while we do the hard work for you!

Step 4: Your Trip in India

After you’ve booked your trip, we’ll email you a package of travel documents, including full accommodation details and information about our local offices in India. This will include an emergency contact number and the addresses of each office. Our local agents will be on hand 24/7 to lend a hand with anything that you need during your trip. Being located within India, they are in a strong position to help if any issues arise.

You'll find that our pre-booked independent travel removes the risk and hassle of having to arrange things as you go. Everything included in your personalised itinerary will have been pre-booked, so you can spend your holiday time, on holiday! Yet you'll still have that feeling of travelling independently.
