Acccommodation

With India Travel Plan your accommodation is usually quite special, and often very typical of India. In the north that could be, for example, palaces or forts, but it can also be a cosy homestay or a clay hut in the countryside. In the south the accommodation is different: bungalows and jungle lodges. Most of the accommodation has been chosen because they are unusual, either in terms of atmosphere or location (in Varanasi, for instance, a palace on the banks of the Ganges is a must) or because the accommodation is the most practical in a particular place.

India Travel plan has a rating scale from 1 to 5 for all accommodation that is offered in an itinerary or module. It is defined as follows:

1.Very simple accommodation

Primitive accommodation in a hut with limited facilities during a trip in the middle of nowhere.

2. Simple accommodation

Simple, but reasonably comfortable. Your own room with shared shower and kitchen facilities. Generally in a nice location with plenty space around and a country atmosphere.

3. Comfortable accommodation

Bungalow or room with bathroom. Often an authentic Indian ambience and/or a romantic location.

4.Very comfortable accommodation

Roomy bungalow or stylish room with extra facilities and attention to comfort. Sometimes a palace or a more luxurious modern hotel. Generally with swimming pool.

5. Luxury accommodation

Spacious bungalow or room with luxurious facilities, large bathroom and usually with swimming pool, sauna and extra facilities. For example a larger castle or palace.
